After the four-day marathon full of floorball we found the new world champions, sympathized with the sad runner-ups from Finland, and celebrated the success of the home team of the Czech Republic. For the first time in the relatively short history of the U19 Women's World Championships, the medals went also to the Czech Republic, although, practically, they just remained in the country where the tournament was held.
The World Championship in Olomouc saw 26 games, although it sometimes seemed that floorball was being played from the morning till the evening. This international event involved a great number of officials, floorball representatives, and above all volunteers, without whom the organization of the championship would not be possible. They deserve our GREAT THANKS for that.
Our thanks also go to all floorball fans who found their way to the sports halls in Olomouc. Just by the way, the championship was attended exactly by 10,001 spectators.
