Marcus Holm: Anyone can beat us, it's open Print E-mail

The Swedes returned back to the throne. After they lost unexpectedly to Switzerland two years ago, this year they did not let anyone doubt about who reigns in the world of floorball. The team coached by Marcus Holm did not lose a single game during the championship and their only point they lost after a 4:4 draw with Finland in the preliminary group stage. And it was Finland who they faced in the final, which they won 6:4.

Mr Holm, how would you evaluate the today's game?

It was a very good and tight game, in which we were a bit stronger than our opponents in the end. The today's game was really the toughest for us. The girls were under big pressure that with this line-up full of many gifted players they should become the champions.

And how did you like it here in Olomouc?

I have been coaching the national team for five years already and I have visited many international tournaments and world championships, and I can say that the atmosphere here in Olomouc was the best so far.

You didn't lose a single game at the tournament. Do you think that someone will be able to beat you at the championship in two years' time?

Look, we lost in the final two years ago against Switzerland and I think that anyone can beat us. In my opinion it's open. But it will be tough for them!
