| Nussbaum: The Czechs defended perfectly |

Originally Gaby Breitenstein was supposed to come for the interview. But after the lost 3rd place game she did not feel like talking, and instead we managed to interview the Swiss head coach, Bernhard Nussbaum. His answers were not brusque; he contemplated for a while before answering every question. He never smiled during the interview, though. It was apparent how much this loss hurts.
Your team came here to defend the title and is leaving without medals. What are your feelings after the game? My feelings? Really bad. We knew that if we don't have a good first period today, we will have problems with the Czechs. They're a strong team. Our girls were very disappointed after the yesterday's game and it was really difficult to concentrate on this game. We were encouraging them, but the Czechs played with great enthusiasm.
You lost the game even though your team includes key players, such as Corin Rüttimann or Flurina Marti. In today's game they were almost invisible… No, they didn't play a bad game. I don't think they were invisible. It's just a coincidence of several factors. Corin has been playing for the entire season; with Flurina they were leading Chur towards the title. She was at the women's WFC. It was a tough season for her. Flurina didn't miss a single substitution in the play-offs. Here she played three very tough games. The Czechs, the Slovaks, and then the tight loss against Finland yesterday. They were a bit tired but ready to do their best for the team. Unfortunately, the good opponents know who Corin is. Whenever she got the ball, there were two or three players around her. It was difficult for her but she did a good job.
What did you say to the girls in the dressing room? (sighs sadly) That it's not good. That we wanted to get to the final. But also that they're still young and hard-working. You know, we have selected a good and strong team for the WFC 2010. We don't have a medal but it's a very strong generation for the future of Swiss floorball.
The national team staff includes also Gaby Breitenstein, and at the previous WFC there was Laura Tomatis. Both of them are members of the golden women's team from Singapore. Will there be a change at the next U19 Women's World Championship and will anyone else from this generation join the team? Yes, you're right. Gaby played there. I don't know yet whether I will continue. But if yes, then I would like to keep on cooperating with Gaby. We complement one another perfectly and I think we work well together. But I repeat that I still don't know whether I will continue...
