Ladies and gentlemen, dear friends of floorball, Saturday will conclude the entire show called the U19 Women's World Floorball Championship 2010 in Olomouc. The only thing that remains to be done is distribution of what the teams came here for – the medal sets.
As expected, the big four made it to the semifinals – the teams of Sweden, Finland, Switzerland, and the home team of the Czech Republic. The Friday semifinals between Sweden and the Czech Republic and between Switzerland and Finland decided that the final game will bring the Scandinavian derby, whereas the bronze medal game will feature two Central European teams.
It is therefore clear that Switzerland will not defend the title of world champions. After their loss against Finland they will have to do with the bronze medal game, in which they will face the Czech Republic, who lost 3:12 to Sweden. The match will start at 12:00.
The first great Nordic derby ended 4:4 in the preliminary group stage. The second Scandinavian encounter will start in the Palacký University hall at 15:00. |
