Team Georgia will not participate in the U19 Women's World Championship

Members of the Georgian floorball team were not granted their travel visas and therefore will not arrive to Olomouc to participate in the forthcoming U19 Women's World Championship, taking place from May 4 to May 8. This information was already officially confirmed by the International Floorball Federation, which has also issued an updated schedule of matches. After suspension of team Ukraine Group C lost another participant. The match programme of Group C has thus become significantly shorter. Based on the above mentioned circumstances, the Division B final game will be played one day sooner than what was originally planned, i.e. on Friday, May 7.

Czech U19 women's national team players in colours

An interesting colourful detail was added to the mosaic of the World Championship by the Czech Floorball Union, in cooperation with the company ArtForFans. Our national team players will be equipped with attractive Czech flag face stickers.

Team introduction: The Czech Republic

In a few days, the eyes of journalists and fans will be focused on three teams above all. Three teams that are somehow expected to show something extra. The traditional floorball power from Sweden, the defending champions from Switzerland, and the third national team gets into such a position for the first time. This time the Czech Republic will be under big pressure as well. Let us now introduce the team.

First list of team Czech Republic published

Players nomination for World championship is done in two steps. First each federation sends to IFF so called First list, list of 30 names of players for World Championship. Then, latest April 13th, there is send so called Final list, which contains names of 20 players, which would really participate on the championship. In case any of these players would be injured or couldn't attend, she can be replaced only by player mentioned in the First list.

Team introduction: Norway

They are not as dominant as their Scandinavian neighbours, but still they have to be taken into account. The Norwegian team are traditional participants and in the U19 women's category they gained three consecutive sixth places at the three previous world championships.
